Letters to Chenani - Backstory

  Life happens at lightning speed, and it is our responsibility to slow it down to a pace where we can make meaning of the seemingly pointless chaos that makes up our lifetime. During the COVID-19 lockdown, while trying to grasp how my life turned out the way it did, weeks on end of yearning, longing, and a health scare narrowed my priorities. Finally, I decided to pour out my heart on the pages of my diary, with one focus: to write what I would have loved to share with the one my heart yearns for. Over the course of 2 years, I kept writing; sometimes it would flow for days, at other times, months would go by without any inspiration. As time went on, it became apparent that these were not just letters to my loved one, but they had taken on a form of life lessons, wisdom capsules that a predecessor compiles and hands over to a successor.
